Decided to have a go at using xpl as it appears to be much easier to implement (for me anyway) than xap ... I really wanted to be able to send text messages from Homevision to my Sunroom tv..Im using a pic 16F876 on a simmstick to receive the serial message (9600 baud at the moment) and then via an OSD chip which is a surface mounted chip located on another simmstick.. I send the message to the tv... I have build the xpl-cmnd template using macros....and also created an ir event to trigger the xpl message...At the moment I display the text message for a fixed duration and is displayed on Row 5..Next is to incorporate the ROW which the message will be displayed...then DeLay ..The time in seconds the message is displayed...plus more as time permits.. |
